submitting artwork for monthly show procedure
1. You can submit up to four original pieces of framed, or gallery wrap canvas, art on a monthly basis.
2. Bring your artwork to the gallery on one of the specified art intake days.
3. Enter the indicated information in the Sales Art Log for each piece you submit.
4. Fill out the small, temporary labels provided with your name, media, name of your artwork, and price; and attach it to the front of the artwork.
5. Take your artwork with the completed temporary label attached to the front into the main gallery, and set it on the floor leaning against the wall where the hanging committee will find it.
6. All hanging artwork must be framed and have a hanging wire on the back; no saw tooth hangers are permitted.
7. If you have any questions about how to display your art, please contact the Chairperson of the Hanging Committee.
8. If you are the Featured Artist of the Month, please review the document titled “Featured Artist of the Month” to learn what you need to do, and contact the Hanging Committee Chairperson to let them know how much space you will need before they hang the show.
Note: If you are a Standard member (i.e., a “sitter”), a good time to sign up to sit the gallery is when you bring in your art during art intake. The sign-up calendar for the next two months will be available on the desk in the entrance gallery.
