Linda Schaeffer

​Linda Schaeffer considers herself mostly self taught. She has had classes in watercolor,drawing,pastel,sculpture, design and art appreciation beginning with her sixth grade art teacher,Mr. Potts, who had the class do self portraits. This encouraged her to graduate with a BA from Portland State. A few of her teachers have been masters in Sumi and Chinese painting when she lived in Japan and Malaysia;Carl Paurcell at Snow College ,for drawing; Gary Spetz,Shirley Dahlsten and Debbie Loyd for watercolor. She enjoys plein air painting the most and belongs to two plein air painting groups. She is grateful to be living along the coast amidst the beauty surrounding her with inspiration everywhere.
