Trail's End Art Association is located at 656 A St., in Gearhart, Oregon. We are an all-volunteer non-profit cooperative of artists. We have served artists on the north coast since 1950 and are the longest active art association on the Coast. We provide classes and workshops, monthly gallery shows, special events, and a gift gallery for unique art objects, cards, and prints. August judged show call for art!

All artists, from children to adults, are invited to submit art in our 75th Anniversary non-juried Judged Show and Celebration! To celebrate our 75th year, this year only we are offering monetary awards to the winners of the Mayor's Award and Best of Show. Just visit us at the Gallery (656 A St., Gearhart), or click the button below for the important entry dates and other entry information! Deadline to Submit Artwork to the Gallery on Sunday, July 27th or Monday, July 28, 11:00am to 3:00pm.

'     The Trail’s End Art Association Gallery will open a new show in June featuring works created by six watercolor artists. There will be an artist reception on June 7, during the Gearhart ArtWalk, from 2-5 pm. This exhibit will be open Fridays to Sundays, 10am-5pm and Mondays 11am-3pm from June 6th through June 29th.
     The featured artists are: Rayanne Edwards is a watercolor artist who loves watercolor paper as much as she loves the painting process. Watercolor is fascinating for this Nehalem resident!   Gheri Fouts majored in chemistry in university and worked in research for a few years. Then she discovered a paintbrush. Gheri looks for the magic of watercolor: the play of the paint on the paper. Fouts is a past president of Trail's End and has an active sketching group called "Draw" in which we gather outside and sketch our surroundings. Linda Gebhart loves painting small seascapes and landscapes with her travels and beach walks as inspiration. Gebhart recycles materials for matting and framing. Also a past president of Trail's End, she teaches 2-hour watercolor seascape classes for Trail’s End as well as Cannon Beach Arts. Judy Madson is a native Astorian whose artistic skills have developed over the decades. Classes in many mediums have all contributed to her style and lifelong love of art. Madsen’s art has been her salvation and is grateful for being able to pursue and strengthen her art skills. Debbie Teeter gets inspiration from nature. She loves watercolors for their versatility and challenge and enjoys finding new ways to explore them. A retired high school art teacher, she has taught numerous classes to adults and children. Teeter is a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon and has been juried into their last three convention exhibitions. 
Kay Tuttle loves flowers and is inspired by their beauty. She continues to study how light affects a subject’s color and gives dimension to the object. Tuttle has been studying art for many years with wonderful teachers and mentors along the way.

Free little art gallery at trails end

 June 7th as a part of our 75th Anniversary celebrations we are having a “little” ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:00 for our new Free Little Art Gallery at Trail’s End. Gearhart Mayor Kerry Smith will be doing the honor to cut the little ribbon.  A Free Little Art Gallery (FLAG) is like a little free Library, but instead of books it’s free, small works of art for the community to take, view, contribute to and share. To encourage a cycle of art exchange and foster creativity and community engagement. Children (or adults) can create a piece of art right there at the FLAG. View art, make art, trade art, take art, leave art! Be creative! Celebrating 75 years as an association is a remarkable thing. We are dedicating our FLAG to all the artists who have come before us and to all the future artists we may inspire.
